Another HHO Tips For Fuel Gas Savers!
These hho tips refer to the Utube video I saw the other day showing a hho gas generator installed on a truck or minivan. It showed the hho generator showing 3 hydrogen cells connected together. The question is why?
Some vehicle engines especially those with sizes ranging from 5.0L to 6.0L would need a bigger output of hho gas. With a typical stand alone generator, the number of plates used for electrolysis is pretty limited. So when it is operating, problems like generator cell overheating and insufficient hho gas flow can occur. To resolve this, here are a few hho tips being done by some vendors:
Adding a hho gas cooler to the system
Using a condenser coil infront of your radiator where the hho gas is made to circulate, it can lower the hho gas generator cell temperature. And from what I have seen from a hho vendor, he added a circulating pump to increase the gas flow rate. This helps resolve both issues of overheating and insufficient hho gas production.
With this feature, it can avoid the installation of multiple hho cells which require a bigger space in your engine compartment. With this hho tip, there is a downside though: the added cost of the condenser coil and circulating pump can easily jack up your over-all hho investment roughly by 30%-40%. However, if you look at a more stable hho production without worrying about overheating, this might be a good route to go. As per vendor findings after prolong testings, the maintenance cost of this set up is much smaller.
Another hho tips success story:
Shown in this utube video is hho gas generator using 3 hydrogen cells. As per the person who made the video, he gained 34% mpg gas savings. Please treat this with caution because it does not show exactly what electronic extensions were used like PWM, EFIE or MAP enhancer. Should you need any assistance on this, please contact ATS or leave a comment below regarding these hho tips.
Please check with your local city by-laws before performing any hho conversion in your vehicle engines. When in doubt, please check ATS recommended strategies in our previous blogs.

Increase in Gas Mileage in HHO has its Dangers!
This increase in gas mileage in HHO system was posted in Utube more than a week ago. The conversion was done on a 2006 Dodge Ram which has a rated mpg of 12-19 mpg from the manufacturer. According to him, he never went to 17 mpg since he owned the truck and this was the reason he added a HHO gas generator to the engine.
The increase in gas mileage was accomplished using a HHO generator consisting of a HHO fuel cell with an oxygen computer enhancer or EFIE. I saw all of his test previously but it was incomplete until last week. I am posting this so you will know the significance of his work:
EFIE will lean out the fuel mixture on its own even without using the HHO generator. Please take this seriously because if you do it without monitoring with a scangage, there is the danger of having a too lean fuel mixture and can raise the combustion temperature and damage the engine.
Here are some bad side effects of just using EFIE without the HHO generator:
1.) Lost of power which can be felt thru engine hesitation and cutting out at stop lights.
2.) Increase in engine temperature due to lean condition which will cause pinging or premature detonation and subsequent melting of spark plug tips and piston tops. If this happens to you then your engine is toast!
Prevention:
Always use the HHO gas from the HHO fuel cell when using the EFIE device. At the same time, monitor the scangage for signs of increase engine temperature and performance. The hydrogen gas when introduce will make up for the lean condition and give the engine power. You can also monitor the engine temperature using your dash gage.
The question now is: What is the SAFE way to get an increase in gas mileage?
Using your scangage, always set the HHO gas production to the lowest amount using the PWM adjuster. Most tests I have seen is set under 20 amp maximum setting. But test it at a small increment until you get the best increase in gas mileage without harming the engine. This can be done by watching the engine temperature always. I would also remove the spark plug frequently because that will be the first indicator if the engine mixture becomes too lean. I would start by checking the spark plugs (one spark plug will do) every time the HHO system is used then gradually increasing it every other day up to once a week. But I will never take it for a long continuous drive for more than I hour without checking the spark plugs. If it shows that driving it for over 1 hour is safe, then I would check it again after 4 hours until I am satisfied. I cannot over emphasize this because I have seen a lot of damaged engines when the fuel engine mixture is too lean.
Note when testing the increase in gas mileage:
When propane or LPG conversion was first introduced in in early 80’s in Calgary, lots of engines blew up because the fuel setting was too lean. This is how I learned first hand that getting an increase in gas mileage does not mean anything until you set the fuel mixture properly. This can be done and all you do is test it gradually as I have outlined here.
Shown is the actual mpg video test which shows a gain of over 40% increase gas mileage! CLICK HERE
Again, this test shows that EFIE plus HHO generator will give you an increase in gas mileage. However, I wonder what would have happened if he added PWM, scan gage and MAP/MASS sensor adjuster? In the end, I will be happy with this test as long as he monitors his engine temperature and spark plugs. Of course if you do this test yourself, you know what to do after reading all my post about HHO testing.

HHO Conversion 2nd Success Story!
Here is a hho conversion success story of HHO gas generator system. This was done about a 1.5 months ago as per Utube but I need you to look closely on what the person did to make it work:
1.) He used a one knob MAP sensor adjuster to counteract the fuel mixture leaning effect of the HHO gas introduced in your engine.
2.) Again a scan gage (engine computer fooling tool) is used to monitor the engine performance including to show the vehicles mpg, computer close loop operation and fuel used in gallons per hour.
These two powerful HHO conversion tools when used with the HHO gas generator was able to give him roughly an additional 40-45 percent increase in fuel improvement.
As per this HHO conversion demo, no other computer electronic gadget was used to control the engine computer of this 1999 Toyota Sienna. You can also use this approach if you want to economize on your HHO gas generator building expenses. To protect your vehicle engine and your investment, always ask the assistance of a certified mechanic to help you. This is especially true if the MAP/MASS sensor will not work for your kind of engine. There are vehicles where where you also need to modify the oxygen sensor and air intake temperature (AIT) sensor for the HHO gas generator to work.
Here again is the video to show you the HHO conversion demo
Looking at this video, you have to give allowance in case the claims is exaggerated since the person is also trying to sell the MAP sensor adjuster. But at this very moment, there are now a few HHO gas generator vendors who will guaranty an increase of 20% fuel savings or your money back contact ATS for more details. Also, I believe the mpg results above can still be improved if he used a PWM and the EFIE computer enhancer.
Final NOTES:
This success story is meant to boost your imagination and give you information on important progress of HHO conversion system. Whether the HHO gas generator works for your vehicle or not, you have to study and learn this system before trying it for your car or truck. If it helps you, you can get hold of these people at Utube to prove this video actually occurred. Hydrogen Generator Test Techniques!
To confirm hydrogen generator test, the hho gas must be checked from the beginning. Even if you install the most expensive hydrogen generator package, if you miss one of the procedure, you are doom to failure.
A brief hydrogen generator test is shown here:
1.) Get a read out of the oxygen sensor voltage fluctuation after the engine is warmed up. You can do this using a sensor scanner or by using your laptop. There are also hho package kit that includes the oxygen sensor scanner when you buy it. The oxygen sensor must remain in close loop all the time.
2.) Set up the pulse width modulator (PWM) to the lowest rate which is adjusted by turning the amperage setting. The rule of the thumb here is to produce the highest HHO gas without the hydrogen generator to overheat. However, always begin with a setting under 10 amps until you are on the road where you can still jack it up to a max of 20 amps. While doing these, you can check the hho generator is not warmed to touch and oxygen sensor remains in close loop. There are hho package that monitors the temperature setting of the hho generator.
3.) Using both the PWM and laptop oxygen sensor readings, set the EFIE or electronic fuel injection enhancer oxygen sensor reading so it stays at close loop all the time. For safety, you can also monitor the engine temperature so that the new fuel mixture setting is not too lean.
For hydrogen generator test on these 3 basic steps to work:
1.) You have the proper number of plates or electrodes in the hho generator to produce the right amount of hho gas. The number of plates or electrodes depends on the size of the engine. The bigger the engine displacement, more plates are needed.
2.) You have used the proper electrolyte fluids and catalyst to produce the best hho gas production.
3.) The hydrogen generator test for the feed from the bubbler to the engine intake is properly routed. This depends on what kind of engine you have or how the engine vacuum hose is designed. It is not advisable to connect the feed hose to the direct engine vacuum connection unless specified by the hho product you bought. If you fabricate the hho system yourself, connect it to the clean side of the air filter housing because it serves 2 purposes: it gives time for the hydrogen generator gas to mix with the incoming air and allow the water to gather at the housing bottom to prevent it from being introduced to the engine.
Shown HERE is a quick Utube video how it is done
Notes:
In the video shown, the PWM is set under the engine compartment. You can buy a HHO package where the electrical controls are monitored inside the cab and adjust the setting while you are driving.

HHO Gas Wiring…Don’t Forget The Relay!
The HHO gas wiring has one important necessary feature: its ability to automatically turn on and off the hho gas generator. Instead of using a toggle switch to operate the hho system, a relay is installed. What is a relay? A relay is an electrical switch that controls another circuit. It is also a device that contain an electrical winding motor inside which when powered up, will allow connection of 2 wires or circuits together. Example: Let us say you have a 4 terminal relay…if winding motor has terminals A & B and if battery power is supplied to each end of these terminals, the remaining 2 contact terminals C & D will connect together.
This is important in our HHO gas wiring which needs to be shut off when we stop the engine. If we are using a toggle switch to turn the HHO generator on, there is a chance that we can forget to shut the toggle switch off. If we have a relay, then power can can be supplied automatically to the hho gas generator. When power supply to the HHO generator is connected to a relay, everything can be controlled from the ignition key circuit. Still other installers, can connect the power supply to the fuel pump so that the hho gas generator only works when the fuel pump is on. This is a safe way to control hydrogen gas cars which can prevent running the hho gas generator continuously when you are not driving the car.
When installing a hho gas wiring relay, there are usually 4 terminals:
2 terminals for the winding, one ground and one from ignition switch or any control circuit source.
2 terminals for the controlled circuit (in this case, the power supply to the hho gas generator: one incoming wire from a fused battery supply and the other outgoing wire to the hho gas generator power supply).
Shown on Utube video below is a simple hho gas wiring relay installation set up showing all of the above connections. For your safety, we recommend the following:
use #10 gage wires
use #30 amp or higher rating relay
locate the relay away from heat
secure all connections and make them tight
In you notice in this video, the hho gas wiring relay installation is easy and you can buy this relay from any local automotive parts store. Always specify the correct amperage rating to the vendor to prevent overheating the motor winding inside the relay. As recommended by the video maker, always get a certified mechanic to assist you when installing relays in your hydrogen gas cars. (ATS also provides this service if you are a member including all the necessary wirings assistance for your hho generator).
